Athletes and EnerPrime

While much anecdotal evidence supports what EnerPrime can do for those with health challenges, less publicized is the important role it can play for healthy individuals with active lifestyles. We talked to Health and Fitness Consultant Cary Nosler about the importance of EnerPrime for athletes and the benefits he has personally experienced.

How do you see EnerPrime serving the unique needs of athletes?

An important reason for including EnerPrime in a program for someone who exercises regularly is that while exercise, in and of itself, is of great value, the intensity of exercise creates its own nutritional requirements. There's sometimes a residue left over as a result of oxidative stress. Over time the immune system becomes hard-pressed to keep repairing itself from all this good activity that simultaneously places some pretty heavy demands on the body. Some prominent people I've interviewed over the years have indicated that exercise without proper nutrition, and especially the right antioxidants, can accelerate the aging process. Further supporting this for me was the consistent testimonies by endurance athletes who take EnerPrime. They said they had greatly improved ability to recover and experienced more energy after taking EnerPrime. I, myself, started feeling the residue of some of my fitness activities, manifested in various injuries and pain. It became clear that as you exercise, you up the ante as far as what you ask of the body and what the body needs to take care of and repair itself to fully take advantage of what you've done. So in addition to some personal modifications to my exercise program, EnerPrime was something I found that would keep my immune system strong and provide the antioxidant protection I needed to go along with the benefits of an exercise program.

How did you personally become involved with EnerPrime?

Someone called me when I was doing my radio show. They left a message and said call Brenda, the founder of IMPaX and check into this product. I always listen to those things with a bit of a jaded response because I get pitched hundreds of products. She sent me a brochure and the product. In the beginning I thought they just dumped everything having to do with the immune system in there. Brenda explained how it was synergistically blended in the lab with specific combinations of superfoods, adaptogens, antioxidants, phytonutrients, herbs, enzymes and micronutrients for optimal immune-enhancing results. Once I understood the logic and reasoning in the way it was put together, and the synergism involved, it made sense. I went to a home meeting and was really impressed to hear what it was doing for people, and to see their energy and enthusiasm. I started realizing there's something really going on here. I've taken three heaping teaspoons continually for six years, and I give a teaspoon to my son and a teaspoon to my dog each morning. Now the birds and squirrels are coming down to get some.

What is your personal fitness regime?

My workout is somewhat structured. Morning is usually devoted to some kind of stretching, flexibility and aerobic activity. I don't run but I walk for cardio benefits. Later in the afternoon, around 4 or 5 p.m. I go to the gym six days a week and do my weight training. Sundays are unstructured. Evenings I swing dance.

How does diet figure in?

For some time I was pretty much a lacto-oval vegetarian. I started adding animal products in the form of chicken, fish and turkey about 3-4 years ago when I became more interested in the Zone type programs. I wanted to add more protein, and found it difficult to do with vegetable sources. I've decreased my emphasis on starch carbohydrates a great deal and concentrated more on vegetables and fruits. And, of course, I always take my EnerPrime. Over the years I've taken thousands of supplements. Some stay, some don't. This, to my satisfaction has proven it's worth.
